Orthodontics

Orthodontics, or braces as we commonly refer to them, is the branch of dentistry that treats malocclusion - or irregular bites.  When teeth, lips and jaw are misaligned, we use corrective appliances - generally braces - to align them properly. Don't think for a minute that orthodontics are just for our younger clientele! it isn't unusual for our doctors to combine orthodontic treatment with other cosmetic procedures to enhance the overall aesthetic result.

Our office also offer the new technique called the Invisalign® .  Invisalign is the invisible way to straighten teeth using a series of custom-made, nearly undetectable aligners. It has been proven effective in both clinical research and in practices nationwide. Choose the nearly invisible way to straighten your teeth. For more information, go to www.invisalign.com or call us at our office for a free consultation.

 Porcelain Veneers

Many of us aren't born with that perfect smile we might want.  Porcelain veneers allow you to change the appearance of your smile, while keeping your own natural teeth, by literally applying an ultra thin porcelain shell that bond to the front of your own teeth.  Veneers are custom designed to achieve the size, shape and color of teeth you want.  Some of our patients may choose to veneer all of the visible teeth in their smile, while others may wish to match veneers to the color of their surrounding teeth in order to correct small chips or other imperfections in just a few teeth.  The primary benefit of veneers is that they offer an "instant" result in just two appointments. In fact, veneers are often a terrific alternative for our patients who want a new smile but do not wish to proceed with orthodontic treatment. The other benefit of porcelain veneers is they offer a resilient, strong, durable and stain-resistant porcelain correction for a variety of problems. With proper maintenance, veneers offer you a confident smile for years to come.  This porcelain veneer procedure requires at least two visits along with a period of temporization before final placement of the restoration.

We also offer the Composite veneer procedure.  The Composite Veneer is similar to the porcelain veneer but using the ultra thin, cosmetic, composite facings made for anterior (front) teeth.  The composite allows you to chance the appearance of your smile by changing the shape, color and size of the teeth.  Composite veneers can be completed in one visit making the desired changes immediate.

Porcelain Crowns

Porcelain crowns, also known as caps, are an excellent way to repair and strengthen badly damaged teeth. Like veneers, crowns can dramatically improve the appearance of your teeth by offering a natural, translucent restoration that can either be matched to the color of your existing teeth, or be used in conjunction with other procedures (like veneers or bridges) to brighten and renew a full smile.  Our office uses porcelain crowns for both cosmetic enhancements as well as for more serious restorative situations where a patient requires the extra support a crown can provide over his or her natural tooth structure.  We also recommend our patients with porcelain crown to restore and protect a tooth that is: broken, has a very large filling or has had a root canal.
